Safety is a primary concern at Crystal Run Healthcare. In particular, we continually look for ways to minimize radiation exposure. Over the last year we have invested new CT scanning equipment that uses far less radiation than older models.
We have a physicist on staff whose job is to make sure we are using the lowest dose possible for our CT procedures. Crystal Run radiology technicians use “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA) settings to obtain the best images possible.
Our equipment is inspected daily and we maintain logs that are constantly reviewed. Crystal Run Healthcare's Radiology Department was inspected several weeks ago by the New York State Department of Health and passed with flying colors. Crystal Run is a fully accredited CT facility by the American College of Radiology. |
