About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

My mother is a Nurse and I remember at an early age being fascinated with her medical equipment. As I grew older my desire to help people and make them feel better further fueled my belief that nursing was for me.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I love being in the hospital. Hospitalized patients are at the most vulnerable stage and being that first person they encounter to help guide them on the road to recovery is very satisfying. Hospital medicine is an area that is constantly evolving which provides an opportunity for tremendous learning and professional growth.

How do you connect with your patients?

I like getting to know my patients and their families as a whole. I try to create an environment where I'm treating them as an extended member of my own family. I speak to my patients in a language that they can easily understand, I love educating.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Gardening, photography, traveling and spending time with my family.

What is your advice for your patients?

Ask questions so you can always be informed. Also remember that the choices we make today help shape our future health.
