What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I have always wanted to help people since I was a child. My family is made up of mostly healthcare professionals and that was a driving force for me to follow my dreams. I remember as a child, participating in “take your child to work day” and seeing my mother with patients solidified my dream working in healthcare. Being able to help even one patient makes all the not so great days’ worth it.  

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

My true passion is primary care; however, I’ve always had a great fascination with Urgent Care as well. I love being able to see all types of problems and not knowing what will be coming next.

How do you connect with your patients?

The greatest way to connect with patients is by listening. Once you understand all patients have different ways of learning, different cultures and beliefs, that will be the key to helping them.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I love spending time with my family, playing with my children, and learning new things.

What is your advice for your patients?

Have open communication with your provider and set realistic goals. Live your best life to the fullest.
