What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I first realized I wanted to be a physician after I was hospitalized as a young child. Although I was very ill, I clearly remember how all the staff were so nice at the hospital and made me feel comfortable and safe.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose Internal Medicine because it allowed me to be involved in all aspects of my patient's care. This allows me to coordinate care and ensure that all my patient's medical concerns are taken care of.

How do you connect with your patients?

I make sure to take the time to really listen to my patient's concerns as well as have an open dialogue with them.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I really enjoy spending time with my family and reading.

What is your advice for your patients?

Always make your health is a priority and stay up to date with age-appropriate screening exams.
