About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
My interest in orthopedics began when I saw how osteoarthritis gradually limited a loved one’s mobility and independence. Watching the frustration they experienced with everyday activities like walking or climbing stairs pushed me to understand how we can address these challenges. When they underwent joint replacement surgery, the transformation was immediate—it was like seeing them regain their life. That experience solidified my commitment to orthopedic surgery, particularly joint replacement. I knew this was a field where I could directly impact people’s lives by helping them recover their mobility and return to an active, pain-free lifestyle.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
What I love most about orthopedics is the ability to restore function and improve quality of life through joint replacement surgery. Whether it’s a total hip or knee replacement, the positive change in my patients’ lives is immediate and rewarding. I chose this specialty because it allows me to solve complex issues and help people move better, live better, and regain independence. Joint replacement has a significant impact on a patient’s life, and I find it incredibly fulfilling to be part of that transformation.
How do you connect with your patients?
I connect with my patients by listening carefully to their concerns and providing clear, practical advice. I take a comprehensive approach to care, offering both non-operative options like physical therapy, injections, and lifestyle changes, and surgical options when needed. I believe in educating my patients about their condition and treatment options, ensuring they are fully informed and feel confident in the decisions we make together. Whether we proceed with conservative management or surgery, I make sure they feel supported every step of the way.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active with cycling, hiking, and snowboarding. These activities help me stay fit and give me a personal understanding of what it’s like to recover from an injury or surgery, which helps me relate to my patients. I also love to travel and spend time with my family. These interests help me maintain balance and focus, ensuring I can bring my best energy to patient care.
What is your advice for your patients?
I often advise my patients to take a proactive approach to their health. Addressing issues early, through non-operative treatments like physical therapy, medications, or injections, can often prevent more serious problems later. When surgery is required, I emphasize the importance of patience and consistency during the recovery process. A strong commitment to rehabilitation and a positive mindset are crucial for achieving the best outcomes. I encourage my patients to keep their long-term goals in mind—whether that’s getting back to their favorite activities or simply improving their daily mobility.
