In addition to participating in the Excelsior Medical Academy for Pine Bush High School, providers and staff at Crystal Run have also partaken in Pine Bush High School’s Summer Medical Academy, continuing their support of youth education for the fifth year in a row. Each year, Crystal Run Healthcare is excited and proud to participate in both the Medical Academy and Excelsior program and contribute to the students’ ongoing education and interest in pursuing a career in the medical field.

“Each year, Crystal Run Healthcare looks forward to providing high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to explore concepts in the medical field through an engaging and collaborative approach via hands-on clinical activities and observation. Our participation in this program is an essential part of our overall mission - to transform the health of those we serve – and we can further accomplish this by teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals. Not only is this an exciting program for our providers, but it allows students more latitude in what they can learn and further inspires them to pursue their dreams,” said Gregory Spencer, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Crystal Run Healthcare.

“For the past five years, Pine Bush High School Medical Excelsior Academy students have had the extraordinary experience to shadow leading medical professionals from Crystal Run Healthcare.  These authentic opportunities provided our students the ability to make informed career choices prior to them graduating high school, and we have heard consistently from parents and students how much they value these placements.  The strategic partnership that has been developed between Pine Bush High School and Crystal Run Healthcare provides our students with personalized opportunities to work closely with and learn from respected health care providers within Crystal Run’s organization,” said Pine Bush High School Principal, Aaron Hopmayer.
