About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I always knew I wanted to do something in medicine which would be challenging at the same time has an impact on helping others suffering while still being able to continue my personal growth and journey through life.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I enjoy learning and applying the new research and technologies available to provide effective and efficient care. I love the collaborative and team approach that can be utilized from cardiac electrophysiology, Interventional cardiology, and advanced heart failure to cardiac surgery which allows for better-individualized care, as not all patients are similar. I find the field of cardiovascular medicine rewarding, I am able to help patients improve their quality of life as well as providing appropriate education and guidance.
How do you connect with your patients?
I take an individualized approach to all patients as not one person is alike in their disease process as well as other external circumstances that are different for everyone. I enjoy getting to know my patients personally and meeting family members who are involved in helping provide care, not just focusing on the medical aspect of our relationship.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two daughters, traveling and experiencing new places and cultures, cooking, exercising, downhill skiing, and swimming.
What is your advice for your patients?
The best medicines are ones that I can not provide a prescription for which include healthy lifestyle choices. Regular exercise, avoidance of tobacco products, minimal alcohol consumption, healthy balanced diet, and regular health maintenance examinations.
