About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
Growing up, I always had a love for caring for others. As the years progressed, health promotion and maintenance had become a passion of mine. Being able to make a difference in people's lives as well as saving them, is the greatest reward. I started off as an RN and progressed to an NP, which is now allowing me to progress into a more vital part of patients’ lives. It is extremely rewarding.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
Throughout my training, I was always intimidated by the field of Cardiology. The heart is a vital organ that is necessary for life. It is extremely intricate and encompasses so much. However, as I started working and experiencing an abundance of cardiac patients, I grew to love it. I enjoy learning about the pathway of the heart, staying up to date with guidelines and overall making a difference within patients' lives.
How do you connect with your patients?
Ensuring that I have a good connection and rapport with my patients is of great importance to me. I remain empathetic and caring, always advocate for their care, and actively listen to their concerns. I create a trusting and safe environment and ensure an easy and understandable communication.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Some of my hobbies include health and wellness, such as working out or going for walks, spending time with my family, reading, and traveling.
What is your advice for your patients?
The number one advice I will give patients is always put your health first. Often with stressors in life, individuals tend to put their health on the back burner. It is important to always address health needs in real time to avoid worsening consequences.
