Crystal Run Ambulatory Surgery Center (CRASC) is excited to announce a naming competition for their new surgical robot that will be assisting in total knee replacement surgery at their Ambulatory Surgery Center in Middletown, NY. All eligible community members are encouraged to enter their submissions to name the robot for a chance to win four tickets to LEGOLAND® NY.
“We are so excited to involve the community in the advancements we are making at the Ambulatory Surgery Center,” says Mercedes Gale, Surgery Center Administrator at the Crystal Run Ambulatory Surgery Center, “Being able to include robotic-assisted surgery as part of our Total Joint Replacement Program helps us provide an elevated level of care to our patients.”
CRASC purchased a Zimmer Biomet ROSA® Knee System so it’s experienced orthopedic surgeons would be able to offer robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery of the knee in a same-day ambulatory setting
There will be three rounds for the contest:
- Community Submission Round: Community members across the Hudson Valley and Lower Catskill region will have a chance to submit their entry to name the robot from March 27th to March 31st using the submission link.
- Crystal Run Health Staff Voting: Employees will vote on their Top 10 names from the community submission from April 3rd to April 7th.
- Community Final Vote: The final vote will be turned back to the community, where the community can vote on their favorite of the staff picks from April 10th to April 14th, to select a final winner.
The winning name will be announced April 17th and the person who submitted the winning name will be contacted.
