Crystal Run Healthcare Donates Hundreds of Backpacks and School Supplies to Students in Local Communities
For the past twelve years, Crystal Run Healthcare has helped provide local students with the tools necessary for them to succeed and be productive in school. Crystal Run employees purchased over 250 backpacks and various school supplies to be donated to families throughout Sullivan, Orange and Rockland Counties. This year’s school supply drive was an ongoing partnership between Crystal Run Healthcare, the Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Clubs, and People to People in Rockland County.
Staff from Crystal Run Healthcare first began purchasing school supplies for donation to charities back in 2007 and in 2011, began working with the Boys and Girls Clubs. This is the third year that the practice has worked with People to People’s ‘Back to School with Dignity’ program. The school supply drive is one of the many philanthropic programs that the employees of Crystal Run Healthcare participate in and support in order to give back to the local communities.
“Our employees care about the communities we live and work in and are extremely generous. Because of their generosity, hundreds of children can return to school with the tools they need to succeed. It’s not about the supplies and back packs, it’s about giving children facing tough times the opportunity to succeed in school that they otherwise would not have,” said Tara Kammarada, Director of Human Resources at Crystal Run Healthcare.
