“February is American Heart Month- we use this as an opportunity to raise awareness and to educate people about the fact that heart disease is the leading cause of death for adults in this country- more than all cancers combined. It is estimated that every 40 seconds an American will suffer a heart attack. It is important for people to control their risk factors for heart disease in order to prevent cardiac events,” said Linda J. Cuomo MD, FACC, FSCAI, Interventional Cardiologist at Crystal Run Healthcare.
