About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

Visiting a physician with my father when I was 9 years old, and telling my father that I wanted to be a doctor.  I did not give up on my dream since then, and my goal is to help people when they need help the most. 

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

In nephrology, I get to treat the patient holistically; and the wide spectrum of clinical diversity, makes the field intellectually rewarding and professionally challenging. CKD afflicts millions of people and my goal is to help patients maintain health.

How do you connect with your patients?

By treating them as equals and with humility, and building trust through communication. 

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Spending time with family, traveling, reading, and playing sports such as tennis, basketball. 

What is your advice for your patients?

Educate yourself about your own healthcare, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
