About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I first remember wanting to be a doctor in high school while going on medical aid trips abroad. From there, several life experiences reaffirmed my decision to become a health care provider.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I was drawn to my specialty by the people. Nephrology can be very difficult and complex at times, so it draws individuals who are both hard-working and dedicated learners. Also, Nephrology allows me to see the patient holistically and requires me to stay informed with other areas of medicine.
How do you connect with your patients?
Education. I teach my patients about their health for the majority of the visit.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I enjoy reading, running, and traveling.
What is your advice for your patients?
Take control of your health by staying informed and asking questions. You should be in the driver’s seat of your healthcare goals.
