About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I initially wanted to become a healthcare provider when my aunt was fighting breast cancer in her 30's when I was still a child. At this same time, my grandmother was fighting lymphoma. The exposure to these sensitive- and eventually terminal- illnesses at this young age inspired my desire to provide compassionate care.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love being able to be the first point of contact for my patients, and forming relationships founded on trust and respect with my patients for a variety of concerns.
How do you connect with your patients?
I love to develop care plans that fully address the patient in a way that provides high quality care and collaborates with the patient on their own health goals and methodology, when possible. I love for my patients to feel listened to and feel included in their care plans.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I love spending time outdoors in any way I can including hiking, skiing (downhill and cross-country), and boating. I also love to read historical fiction and fantasy in my free time.
What is your advice for your patients?
Never be afraid to inquire about something that does not seem right or has changed in your health.
