About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I think many people in health care have a personal calling. For me it was my sister who lived with a terminal illness. Growing up I saw how the nurses and providers care and dedication not just impacted her health and quality of life, but also our whole family, especially in difficult times. It really resonated with me and I always wanted to pay it forward and be that same light and positivity to help others one day. I consider myself truly fortunate to be able to do so.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love that primary care allows you to view the whole person. Preventative care, screening and disease management really lays the foundation for good health. I love helping individuals learn and understand their bodies to make the best choice for their health.
How do you connect with your patients?
I try to really get to know my patients and what matters most to them. Their family, interests, profession and culture are all part of what makes them who they are. I believe having a good understanding and mutual respect will allow us to work closely together to create a plans to help them become their best self.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I love to spend quality time with family, friends and our fur babies. You will often find me at sporting events with my children, watching movies, dancing, cooking or going on nice walks. Self care is equally important, so I do enjoy spa days and a little self pampering, reading or audio books when time allows.
What is your advice for your patients?
Health is so important. Without it, we can not do what matters most to us. You are worth the time to prioritize your health. Although dealing with medical problems can be challenging at times, anything is possible by taking slow steady steps, and I will be with you every step of the way.
