What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I’ve always been drawn to caring for others, but my years as an ICU nurse truly shaped my passion for providing care. Working with critically ill patients taught me the value of clinical skill, teamwork, and compassion. Those experiences inspired me to become a nurse practitioner so I could take a more active role in guiding patients through all stages of their health.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose family medicine because I truly get to know my patients and care for them over time. I have gained a deep appreciation for how important prevention and early intervention are in maintaining long-term health. Family medicine allows me to focus on overall wellness by working with patients to promote healthy lifestyles, manage chronic conditions, and prevent disease before it starts.

How do you connect with your patients?

I connect with my patients by taking the time to listen and understand their experiences, values, and goals. I believe that trust is built through genuine communication and empathy.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Outside of the office, I like to cook, read, and spend time with my friends and family.

What is your advice for your patients?

I often tell my patients that small, consistent habits add up. Taking care of yourself every day through movement, good nutrition, and rest makes the biggest difference in your long-term health.
