About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
While serving in the Army's 75th Ranger Regiment as a Ranger Medic, I worked alongside some of the best Physician Assistants, Doctors, and Special Operations Medics that the military has to offer. It was here where I found my passion for medicine and taking care of others. I was motivated to pursue higher education via the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) and take my experience and knowledge to the next level so that I can better care for those around me.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose a career in Family Medicine because I enjoy caring for people of all ages and it allows me to continually stay up to date on all aspects of my patient's wellbeing. I enjoy knowing that I can build relationships with my patients over time and instill confidence within them that they will always receive top notch care when they come to see me.
How do you connect with your patients?
I always do my best to listen to them and truly hear what they have to say-- what is it bringing them in to see me today? How are they feeling? What has changed since we last spoke? It's not only important for me to know these things, but its equally important for my patients to know that they are being listened to as well.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
My wife and I enjoy hiking the local trails, trying out new restaurants (or returning to our favorites!), and attending local sporting events (Go Renegades!). Being from Michigan originally, I always make it a point to attend any games that include my favorite teams from Detroit (Lions, Red Wings, Tigers) whenever I have the chance, too.
What is your advice for your patients?
Stay active and moving as best you can!
