About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

My mother often recounted the story of how I told her at age 3 that I wanted to "live next door to her and stick her with the needle". She inferred I wanted to be a doctor and she and my father nurtured the dream until it became a reality.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I love being able to interact with patients of different ages, cultures, and backgrounds and the capability to address a variety of healthcare needs.

How do you connect with your patients?

I connect by trying to be present in the moment, listening, and allowing the patient to express their concerns and needs.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I absolutely love being part of a church family. Outside of work I spend time participating in church endeavors and ministry. I enjoy the company of friends and fellow church members who are like a second family.

What is your advice for your patients?

A healthy lifestyle is key to maintaining good health and minimizing medication requirements.
