About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I suffered from nodulocystic acne as an adolescent and recall the frustration of feeling unheard and having a lack of improvement. It inspired me to become a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner so that one day I could be in a position where I can help others look and feel their best. Our skin is visible to everyone and can truly have an impact on one's psychosocial and emotional well-being.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I love that every day is different and welcomes new challenges. The practice of dermatology is more than simply removing skin tags and warts, but instead requires us to treat the patient as a whole since the skin is the largest organ in the body. It is a unique specialty that allows for medical and procedural aspects, which have always appealed to me. The constant flow of new knowledge and therapies in the dermatology world keeps me up to date on my education, allowing me to be the best provider I can possibly be for my patients.

How do you connect with your patients?

I enjoy connecting with my patients by getting to know them personally and building mutual trust so that we can have continuity of care.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, exercising, and trying out new coffee shops and restaurants.

What is your advice for your patients?

Protect your skin whether that is with SPF or sun protective clothing. This is so important in preventing skin cancers and procedures down the line. You will thank yourself later!
