Practice Provides Over 70 Baskets and Nonperishable Food Items

Middletown, N.Y. – November 22, 2016 – This holiday season, Crystal Run Healthcare employees are bringing comfort and nourishment to those in need by donating over 70 Thanksgiving-themed baskets. Employees across more than 25 offices created hearty arrangements filled with Thanksgiving dinner essentials including table cloths, centerpieces and decorations, paper goods, in addition to nonperishable food items such as canned goods, dry goods, and mixes, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables along with Shoprite gift cards, which were donated by the Physician Partners of Crystal Run Healthcare to purchase turkeys.  On the morning of Friday, November 18th, the food baskets were collected and distributed to patients and other families in need throughout Orange, Ulster, Sullivan, and Rockland counties. In addition to providing food baskets, Crystal Run also supplied Guild St. Margaret Soup Kitchen in Middletown, NY,  Country Kids Food Pantry in Washingtonville, NY, and People to People, Inc., in Nanuet, NY, with nonperishable food items.

This Thanksgiving food drive is one of many philanthropic efforts that the employees of Crystal Run Healthcare participate in and support each year, in order to give back to the local communities.“Each year, our employees here at Crystal Run Healthcare give our patients one more reason to be thankful. Because of their generosity and commitment to our communities, this holiday season will be more joyful for so many families. In fact, many patients have shared that they would not have Thanksgiving dinner had it not been for these beautiful baskets and for that, we have our wonderful employees to thank,” said Tara Kammarada, Director of Human Resources at Crystal Run Healthcare.
