Neurologist to Discuss ‘Movement Disorders in the Elderly’ for Alert & Alive Series
West Nyack, N.Y. – May 15th, 2017 – Crystal Run Healthcare Neurologist, Shital Shah, DO, will be participating in a Meals on Wheels educational series – Alert & Alive – during the month of May. Throughout the month, Dr. Shah will present ‘Movement Disorders in the Elderly’ at various locations in Rockland County. Her presentation will outline common movement disorders in the elderly, such as Parkinson’s disease and Restless Leg Syndrome, as well as risk factors for falls in the elderly, ways to improve mobility, and more.
Alert & Alive is a health and wellness program, sponsored by the Office for the Aging, and is offered to members in the spring and the fall. The program features speakers who provide presentations on a variety of topics that improve both the physical and mental well-being of members.
