Local Hudson Valley Healthcare Provider Raises Over $2,500 in Donations to Safe Homes of Orange County
On Saturday, May 4th, Crystal Run Healthcare hosted an employee appreciation event inviting employees and their families to enjoy a day of fun. Activities included carnival games, a petting zoo, and a charity ping pong tournament, of which providers, executives and staff competed. Employees chose to raise money for Safe Homes of Orange County, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate partner violence, teen dating violence, and human trafficking. Additionally, Crystal Run staff across various departments generously donated themed baskets for a basket bonanza. All proceeds from registration fees for the tournament, tickets for a 50/50 raffle, and tickets for the basket bonanza, totaling $2,647.05, were donated to Safe Homes of Orange County.
“The owners of Crystal Run wanted to celebrate our staff and their families for the great work they do every day on behalf of our patients. In planning the employee appreciation event, owners and staff also chose to raise money to give back to our community. Funds raised were directed to Safe Homes of Orange County to assist in stemming violence in our families and to protect the rights of our most vulnerable members of our community. Crystal Run is proud to support community based organizations committed to doing this very important work,” said Michelle A. Koury, MD, Chief Operating Officer at Crystal Run Healthcare.
