The Crystal Run Healthcare Provider’s Chapter Discusses Lover Extremity Amputations

Middletown, N.Y. – August 6, 2018 –Anthony L. Rios, MD was recently published in Rutherford’s Vascular Surgery 9th edition. Rutherford’s Vascular Surgery is widely regarded as the gold-standard textbook in the field of vascular surgery.  Its authors are the leaders in this field and very few individuals are selected for the distinct honor of authorship.  This textbook remains the “bible” of vascular surgery throughout the world in a rapidly advancing field where surgeons are mandated to maintain “state-of-the-art” knowledge.

Dr. Rios’ chapter, titled “Lower Extremity Amputations: Operative Techniques and Results” provides surgeons with modern techniques to preserve function of the lower extremities. His authorship educates surgeons throughout the world about the latest surgical techniques in the rapidly-evolving field of vascular surgery.

Anthony L. Rios, MD joined Crystal Run in 2017. He earned his Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA and completed his Residency in General Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, and North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, Hofstra University School of Medicine in Manhasset, NY. Dr. Rios completed his Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, TX. He is Board Certified in both General and Vascular Surgery and sees patients in Middletown and Warwick.
