What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I really don't have a specific memory of that made me want to become a doctor.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

Like the combination of surgery and medical practice. I love normal births and hate miscarriages.

How do you connect with your patients?

I try to “be real” and reassure people. It’s scary to be sick. Taking a little extra time to make sure people understand what’s happening can often make a really big difference.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Yoga, biking, baking, running, exercise and active foreign travel.

What is your advice for your patients?

Lose weight and exercise to improve your health.
