What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

When I was an infant, my father was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and thankfully he was successfully treated. I was told about this when I was older and instantly became grateful to healthcare providers. That's when I knew I wanted to help others with their medical conditions.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

Being able to see a patient that is experiencing acute distress and to be able to explain to them their diagnosis and their treatment plan is a wonderful feeling as the release the patient displays is a joy to witness.

How do you connect with your patients?

I always want to connect to a patient on a human level and make sure they know that I am there to help them get better.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I enjoy going on hikes and experiencing nature. I also enjoy exercising either by going on a run or going to the gym.

What is your advice for your patients?

I like to emphasize that even small lifestyle changes can go a long way in improving potential clinical outcomes regarding heart conditions.
